Update On Save Registry entry

Specify whether the last record saved automatically becomes the active Ditto record.

The Ditto record is the record selected to have its data copied into a new or existing record. A number of records can be flagged as Ditto records, although only one can be the current (active) Ditto recordClosedThe selected record from which data is copied into a new or existing record using the Ditto utility.. When a record is made a Ditto record, it is listed in the Ditto box.

The Update on Save option flags the last record saved as the active Ditto record. This entry is generated (and subsequently updated) by the system whenever a user selects Edit>Ditto>Update on Save from a module's Menu bar.

where:

boolean

is true (the record being saved becomes the current Ditto record) or false (the record being saved does not become the current Ditto record).

If set to false, the Ditto record is only changed when the user actively makes a record the current Ditto record by selecting Edit>Ditto>Select Ditto record or Edit>Ditto>Use Current Record for Ditto.

Note: If this entry is not present, a setting of true is assumed.

This entry specifies that for all users the last record saved becomes the active Ditto record when using the Ditto utility in the Parties module:
